my partner and i are students living in London, we had looked up various properties on right move and finally fell on a property that was in a safe place, and seemingly perfect for the both of us. it had a small sink but it was okay because it had a dishwasher, it had a small fridge but a lot of storage space. no drying space but it had a washer dryer so it was all fine. come to move in and they failed to show us a broken window, the fact that the dishwasher was just storage for dirty dishes because the landlord didn't want to fix it. the dryer portion of the washing machine didn't dry and the storage space was taken up by fuse boxes, light switches and all different forms of stuff people had left behind. not to mention the bed was ripped. we had email trails for moths asking someone to come and fix it, they started to fix everything in January despite moving in in September. on top of all this the people who did fix the widows broke our hob, the only means of cooking something as there was no oven, and didn't replace it until a month before we had left. it was ridiculous and the biggest waste of money i've ever experienced and not worth anyones time.

I recently moved out of a property managed by Dexters Chelsea & Belgravia and this has been one of the worst renting experiences of my life. During my tenancy, it took 3 MONTHS for someone to come to fix a non-working cold water tap. I'll let you imagine what it's like to live without cold water (health and safety??). Furthermore, it took a year for someone to replace a MOULDY sealant... On top of everything else, I am facing a deposit return issue. It has now been 20 days, and I have just been told that they will keep 150GBP of my initial deposit... for what seems to me like normal wear and tear. I also, have yet to receive a report on the so called 'dilapidations'. Finally, moving into the property was not an enjoyable experience, as the previous tenant had left soiled bedsheets, clothes, pillows which were stated in the inventory as having HAIR on them... and lots of rusty cutlery. It seems that the landlord is complaining about me getting rid of these unhygienic items... What are your thoughts? Should I have kept stained bedsheets and dirty pillows?
I have also been trying to get in touch with them to get a report on why they are charging me 150GBP, with no reply of course...
This has been a very tedious experience for me, I would have hoped that they would show some sort of empathy, understanding or even just acknowledgment of my situation.
I don't recommend renting from or through Dexters Chelsea & Belgravia.

I read a lots of the âreviewsâ and no body give attention to the most important issues, â penalty chargeâ that is a very nice way and another way to steal your money, when we rent the apartment in Chelsea it was two years contract, after 14 month we had a private isssue that we needed to leave London, so we told them that we want to leave before the time, the only things that we didn't that they going to treat on us and charge us straight away amount of 1700£ , they say that this is a fee to put the apartment in the market again, such a bullshit, I want to tell you something me and my wife were living in a few places in the world and also in our country, and we didn't saw or heard only in U.K. in this company maybe also in other real state agencies I don't know but I never run into a situation from all the places and the apartments that I rent in my life that if from any reason I need to leave before the time (because in life there is unexpected event) and I will find somebody that will rent the apartment one day after me like in this case, and there fore the company and the land lord won't loose one pound forme this action and steal/still they will charge me 1700£ Penalthy pee that I was aware about it only in the time that I needed to do this action and it took me two just to find this line in the contract from more than 20 pages, I never saw and never heard about this thing can happen in any place in the world until this moment!! And is not that I left after 3 month or half year it was more than one year, and when I started to use the service that take care about the tenant rights they revenge us after that when they needed to brings us back the deposit money that you give in the beginning , the delay us from getting this money for almost 4 month after we left from all kind of exuces , when they wanted the 1700£ they treat on you and took it in a few days but when they need to give you back the money they hold you for 4 months, I don't want to sound snooze but first 1700£ is a small money, and think about how many people they do it in a year and see how much money they steal not make, any way I just want to open your eyes for this issue that we don't see all the time and from what I have been told there is a lots of people that get hurt from this situation and ugly behavior of agency thank you for listening.....
